Concession Passes
General Concession Cards
Seniors Card
Eligible seniors must carry their NSW Seniors Card to prove their eligibility for a public transport concession.
NSW Seniors Card Cards are issued by the Seniors Card Scheme.
Centrelink Card

Pensioner Concession Cards are issued by Centrelink or the DVA.
No fees apply for the issue of the PCC (subject to Centrelink/DVA policy).
NSW War Widow/er Card

Eligible beneficiaries must have a NSW War Widow/ers Concession Card to prove their eligibility for a public transport concession.
The NSW War Widow/ers Concession Card is issued by the Commonwealth Department of Veteran's Affairs.
NSW Government Transport Card

The NSW Half Fare Entitlement Card is issued by Centrelink on behalf of the NSW Ministry of Transport.
Applications are made in person at a Centrelink Office and eligible Jobseekers will be issued with a card on the spot. Ineligible applicants will be provided with a letter explaining the reason they do not meet the eligibility criteria.
One replacement card may be issued during the three-month period of the card's validity. Replacement cards are also issued by Centrelink.
Proof Of Age Card

Children and young people between 4 and 16 years of age travelling on government rail and ferry services and/or on all metropolitan Sydney and outer metropolitan bus services are not required to carry identification to be entitled to a half fare concession. However, young people who look older than 15 may use the NSW Proof of Age Card to prove their eligibility for a concession fare.
Note: Private bus services in rural and regional areas and private ferry services may use this card or have different proof of eligibility requirements. Check with the operator for more information about proof of eligibility requirements on these services.

Bus Pass
Free on allocated School / Route Buses only.
Where journey is not taken on designated bus, the appropriate fare will be charged.
Defence Force Pass

Eligible persons must carry an Ex-Member of the Defence Forces Pass.
The Ex-Member of the Defence Forces Pass is issued by RailCorp's Passes and Concessions office.
Application forms for the Ex-Member of the Defence Forces Pass are available from RailCorp's Passes and Concessions office, the Department of Veteran Affairs or regional RSL Sub Branch offices.
Travel Pass

Eligible persons must carry a Vision Impaired Persons Pass.
The NSW Vision Impaired Persons Pass is issued by RailCorp's Passes and Concessions office.
Application forms are available from the RailCorp Passes and Concessions office, NSW branches of Vision Australia and Guide Dogs Australia or may be downloaded from the Ministry of Transport website. The application must be completed by an ophthalmologist (or optometrist in rural and regional areas).
The Pass is issued every three years.
